Introducing the new UiCore Site Editor

Starting this year, we’re beginning a gradual move away from the classic Theme Options system and toward a new unified Site Editor experience.

This won’t happen all at once. We’re taking it step by step, so existing workflows stay stable while the platform becomes easier to use and more flexible.

Global Styles come first

The first phase focuses on Global Styles, one of the most important parts of any website.

This includes your colors, typography, fonts, buttons, spacing, and the visual rules that shape the whole site. Instead of spreading those controls across separate settings areas, the new Site Editor brings them into a more modern workspace.

You can make changes, preview them live, and manage the design system of your site in a way that feels closer to a real design workflow.

Built-in version history

One of the biggest upgrades is versioning.

Each screen has its own history, so you can test changes without worrying about breaking the current setup. You’ll be able to preview changes, compare states, and restore a previous version with one click.

Future updates will also bring named versions and frontend deployment, making it easier to prepare a design, review it, and publish it when it’s ready.

Control what users can edit

The editor itself is configurable.

While editing brand settings, you can also control the interface your users see. That means you can decide which roles can access specific controls, and which settings should stay protected.

For agencies and teams, this is a big step forward. Clients can edit what they need, without getting access to settings that could affect the whole site.

Easier import and export

We’re also adding import and export directly into this workflow.

This makes it faster to move configurations between projects, reuse setups, and keep multiple client sites consistent without rebuilding everything manually.

A better admin experience for WordPress

The bigger goal goes beyond replacing Theme Options.

We want UiCore to help you create a complete, branded admin experience inside WordPress. Combined with white-label tools, the customer dashboard, and custom admin login, the new Site Editor helps turn WordPress into a cleaner workspace for your clients.

This direction also connects closely with the new AI Agency Suite we’ve been building at UiCore.
