Our 2026 Roadmap (Built With Your Feedback)

Another year in the books. 2026 is here with new challenges, and the same big question we ask every January: what should we build next?

Every year, we spend 1 to 2 weeks planning the next 12 months. We look at what to ship, what to improve, what no longer works, and what should be removed. This time, we did something different.

Instead of guessing what you want next, we asked you.

We sent a short Google Form to our users. We expected the usual: low response, a few quick comments, then back to building. But the opposite happened. We got a lot of replies, and some truly honest feedback. Some of it hurt to read. All of it helped.

So here is the 2026 roadmap, shaped directly by what you told us you need most.

Quick context: how UiCore is structured today

If you are not fully familiar with the UiCore ecosystem, here is how we split functionality into separate parts.

The goal is simple: you should be able to install only what you need, keep things lightweight, and avoid a cluttered setup.

• UiCore Framework: core theme functionality
• UiCore Elements: Elementor widgets
• UiCore Blocks: our Gutenberg builder, built from scratch
• UiCore Animate: animation packs, text effects, backgrounds, scroll effects, page transitions, and more (works with Elementor and Gutenberg)
• Design Cloud: included inside Elements and Blocks, a template library where you can browse sections and pages, then insert them anywhere

The roadmap: what we are prioritizing in 2026

Below are the main themes that came up again and again, and what we are doing about them.

UiCore Framework

Theme Options Presets

This feature existed early on, but it was not used much. A comment from an early user made us revisit it, and after seeing your feedback, we are bringing it back.

What it will do:

• Import specific sections of Theme Options (header, portfolio, WooCommerce, and more) from any template
• Pull a preset look from a predefined list (example: you want the blog styling from a specific template, but not the entire Theme Options configuration)
• Save your own presets so you can reuse them across projects

Fluid Typography

Fluid typography lets text scale smoothly with the viewport, instead of jumping between fixed sizes.

Today, you can already do this with CSS clamp(), but it can feel overwhelming and time-consuming for many users.

What we will do:

• Add a simpler option to enable fluid typography with fewer controls
• Keep advanced flexibility for users who want to fine-tune

Unlimited custom globals

You will be able to add extra color and typography globals.

Typography globals will include the full set of options, not just font and weight, so your system stays consistent across the site.

New blog layouts and post options

New blog layouts and post options, still controlled in Theme Options for performance, with clean integration into presets.

Better filters and search

Improvements for WooCommerce and blog sidebars, so users can actually find what they need faster.

WooCommerce improvements

This is a big category. We will start with the basics:

• make sure everything works reliably
• polish what is already there
• then add the most used features that currently require third-party plugins

Dark mode

A sitewide light/dark switcher you can enable across the site.

This will include a dedicated set of global colors for the dark version, so dark mode is not a hack.

Also on our radar

A few suggestions came up that we are actively exploring:

• AI builder: in progress, and we may release a beta this year (we will share more once it is ready)
• More template coverage: real estate, cleaning, photography portfolio, music event portfolio, concert hall, football club, plumbing, roofing, AC, landscaping, plus a blog-focused template
• More search design and options: improving how search looks and behaves
• Style trends: liquid glass and glassmorphism styling options, staying current without turning sites into heavy experiments
• Better header navigation and mobile menus

UiCore Elements (Elementor)

Menu widget for Theme Builder

A complete widget for desktop and mobile menus, designed to reduce the need for workarounds and extra plugins.

Rive and Spline widgets

Support for lightweight interactive and animated objects.

Other widgets

More widgets based on real usage and clear demand.

UiCore Blocks (Gutenberg)

Menu widget for Theme Builder

The Blocks counterpart to the Elements menu widget.

Video backgrounds

Video backgrounds where they make sense, with control that stays consistent with the rest of the builder.

Display conditions

Show or hide sections based on simple rules, without custom code.

Extend WooCommerce blocks

Instead of rebuilding WooCommerce blocks, we will extend the existing blocks by adding settings and style panels.
